New minister of state (MoS) for Railways Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Monday challenged Trinamool Congress (TMC) to find a single criminal case pending against him saying he would quit if his name was found in any case.

“Right now, I am challenging them (TMC). Even if they find that a single criminal case is pending against me, I will resign from the post. I am challenging the TMC,” he said. Chowdhury said this when asked about allegations made by TMC that cases were pending against him.
The West Bengal Congress MP, a bitter critic of TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, also said services in railways have deteriorated in the past.
“There are rising number of complaints against services which means there are problems. Railways is in service sector and our service should be better," Chowdhury said after assuming charge.
