In an attempt at fusing Christmas with the importance of ecological balance, Finland tourism had Santa Claus fly all the way from their country to the city's Le Meridien Hotel.

In an attempt at fusing Christmas with the importance of ecological balance, Finland tourism had Santa Claus fly all the way from their country to the city's Le Meridien Hotel.

The Christmas mascot, interacted with underprivileged children, who were brought by the Delhi Commonwealth Women's Association (DCWA). Nine children from Frank Anthony Public School added colour to the event with their rendition of Christmas carols.

The message of maintaining ecological balance was brought out when Santa Claus inaugurated a 20-feet-tall Christmas tree, made of 4,000 recycled bottles.
