CBSE releases marking scheme for 2018 Class 10, 12 board exams on website cbse.nic.in

Dates for the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) Class 10 and Class 12 exams are expected in the first week of January

The board’s website listed the marking scheme for 25 subjects, ranging from maths to multimedia and web technology. The Indian Express reported a schedule for the exam could be released on January 10. The exams usually begin in March and continue till the third week of April, but this year the process could be finished within a month to give more time to teachers to evaluate the answer sheets.

Here’s a guide to get the marking scheme:

1. Log on to the CBSE website

2. Click on the ‘Examinations’ tab and select ‘Examinations related materials’.

3. Marking scheme link for Class 12 and Class 12 will be displayed on the screen.

4. Download the same and take a printout for reference.

Over 18,000 schools across the country are affiliated to the CBSE. As many as 10,98,891 candidates – 6,38,865 boys and 4,60,026 girls – from 10,678 schools registered for the CBSE Class 12 examinations this year.

There was a 2.82% increase in registration for the 2017 edition of the examinations, as compared to the previous year. Around 10,67,900 students – 6,21,259 boys and 4,46,641 girls – had taken it then.

Last year, the examination results were announced on May 21.
