Kalki Koechlin is the “special” someone in Anurag Kashyap’s life at the moment... and she’s loving it. Kalki, who made her acting debut in Dev D isn’t too shy of discussing her relationship with her director. “Anurag is sexy, romantic, honest, kind-hearted and open-minded,” she says stressing on the word romantic. So what was the most romantic thing he’s done for her?
“When I had dengue, he spent an entire week taking care of me.” However, she doesn’t remember the most romantic thing she’s done for him. “You should ask him, I’m sure he’ll have something to say,” she giggles. So how did love happen? She starts off, “After we finished shooting for the film [Dev D], he started calling me up because he was missing me. We started spending a lot of time together and gradually realised that we had similar interests.” She does admit though, that she never expected to date Anurag.
“I never thought I would date him. If I did, I would never have been able to concentrate on the film,” she says. Kashyap, on the other hand, is a “thorough professional”. So much so, that he never had the least bit of problem in “directing her with another man [Abhay Deol].”
Kalki, who “watched a lot of movies” as a part of her research, says that it’s “really cool” if the schoolgirl look she sports in the movie is catching up. Finally, what are the couple’s Valentine day plans? “All I can say is, it’ll be a surprise for him,” she says mysteriously.
