Stars glittered at the 57th National Awards as Bollywood films walked away with 15 awards. Attending the gala ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan in the Capital, were the Bachchan family, director R Balki, filmmaker Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra and singer Shaan among others.

Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who received his first ever National Award for Paa, his debut production, said, “I’m happy after receiving such a prestigious honour, this is a very important moment.”

Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who walked away with the best actor award for his role in Paa, said: “I’m glad to receive such a prestigious honour.”

Singer Shaan, also performed at the awards ceremony.
