X-Men legacy of Patrick Stewart

Patrick Stewart first played Professor X in the 2000 film X-Men, a role that would become one of the most memorable of his career. His take on the character was never about showing off his powers. Instead, he brought a sense of calm, warmth and authority to the mutant leader, whose belief in peaceful coexistence made him stand apart from the usual superhero mould.

He later reprised the role in a cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, bringing the character into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
