I am trying to impress Ekta Kapoor, I love her, says Rakhi Sawant
The actor has returned to films and the tube after quitting politics; says she’s ready to do “any kind of role” with the television producer.
After a brief stint in politics, actor Rakhi Sawant has returned to acting. She has signed a film, is doing an item number, and will also be part of a cricket-based reality show. Mincing no words, she tells us that the latter is her attempt to impress producer Ekta Kapoor, who she wants to work with.

* Why did you choose to do a cricket-based reality show?
I want men to see that women aren’t only good in the kitchen, but can play cricket too. I also wanted to make Ekta happy.
* Why do you want to please her?
I am trying to impress Ekta. I want her to make a serial starring me. I am ready to do any kind of role. I haven’t yet spoken to her about this, but I will reach out to her soon. I respect and love her, as she is a self-made woman; she inspires me.
* With so many popular stars on the show, do you feel you could get lost in the crowd?
I don’t have such worries; I always leave a mark. No one can do what I can.
* You’ve starred in so many reality shows. Aren’t you worried about being typecast?
I have enjoyed doing all of them. I haven’t got a chance to do this one dance-based reality show that I wanted to, so I’m itching to do one.
* What is happening with your political career?
Politics isn’t my cup of tea. I can’t lie all the time, beg for votes or put down other politicians. As a politician, I felt like a servant, but in the film industry, I feel like a queen. I’m not with any political party now, and I won’t return to it in my next seven births.
* Is marriage on the cards?
Not yet. I am single right now and I am enjoying it. But I am waiting for someone to come and sweep me off my feet.
