Actor Charlize Theron has triumphed in her battle against nicotine addiction but refuses to discuss how she quit smoking for fear of jinxing herself.

The 36-year-old said the unhealthy habit had become a deadly obsession for her and she doesn't like to open up about it in case she feels the urge to light up once more, reported Mirror online.

"I was highly addicted. I thought, I don't smoke like normal people. I smoke to die," Theron said.
