Ashmit Patel and Veena Malik's whirlwind romance seems to have hit a dead end. The reality television siren has packed her bags and left the city.

Ashmit Patel who was getting a bit too close for comfort with Veena Malik till sometime back, didn't invite her for his sister Ameesha's birthday party.

Veena Malik who was apparently serious about the Patel guy was even planning to shift her base to Mumbai. The controversial starlet even admitted Ashmit had a special place in her life.

Ashmit's friend however thinks it was always one-sided love.

“It was a one-way affair from Veena’s side. She loved him, but he did not. I would say that they were never together,” he told Mumbai Mirror.

Things started getting worse when Ashmit learned about Veena planting stories about them in the media.

“This really bugged him. Ashmit didn’t want that kind of publicity,” informed Ashmit’s friend.

While Ashmit remained unavailable for comment, Veena’s manager told the tabloid, “Yes, Veena is not in India. She left on Friday. She is in Dubai. She should be back after a week, hopefully.”

Well, we hope there is more to this love story.
