The Pills N Potions hitmaker, 31, is planning to write a song to get back at her long-time rival Rihanna, reported Contactmusic.

"Drake has been pretty down since Rihanna dumped him. She really broke his heart. Nicki wants to call Rihanna out on it. She's very protective of Drake," a source said.

Rihanna dumped Drake, 27, in May after a series of arguments, and the source said that the Canadian star blamed her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown, for the demise of their romance.

"Drake is convinced that Rihanna has self-esteem issues and is pushing him away because she doesn't believe in or trust true love, which isn't surprising after the crazy stuff that happened with her and Chris," the source added alluding to the assault case in 2009.
