Anushka Sharma wore two very different monochrome outfits. See pictures

Actor Anushka Sharma was spotted in an all-black Nikhil Thampi ensemble while promoting her upcoming film Pari on Sunday. But before her seriously stylish outing, the usually impeccable A-lister promoted the film at an event wearing a not-so-flattering outfit. Take a look.

Actor Anushka Sharma, typically one for simple colours and shapes, stepped out of the style box on Sunday with two surprising outfits: One that gave a whole new meaning to ‘bold and beautiful’ and one that sure did raise some eyebrows.

She attended a promotional event for her upcoming film, Pari, in an all-black Nikhil Thampi ensemble — a cut out, pronounced shoulder padded tunic with silver sequins pants. That was a whole lot of sequins, and we’re fans.

We like how the pretty sequin bottom really amped up Anushka’s look, proving that when styled right, you can look like the coolest girl in the room. Her shimmery look was further sweetened by smoky eyes, long lashes, rosy cheeks, glossy lips and sleek centre-parted hair.

But before her seriously stylish outing, the usually impeccable A-lister promoted her film wearing a ‘what was she thinking’ outfit. There’s nothing chicer — or easier — than styling an outfit that’s black and white, but Anushka’s look missed the mark. Her black flared trousers were H&M (Hennes and Mauritz), her top was Two Point Two and her strappy shoes were Gucci. She went for neutral make-up and super-straight hair.

The most unexpected sartorial choice in Anushka’s look was the anti-fit white blouse from Two Point Two by Anita Sharma and Asit Barik’s spring summer 2018 collection, Gyne-Andro-Philia: That was one striking blouse, but there was something just not right about it.

While colour, pattern and silhouette are important when choosing an outfit, fit is even more crucial and Anushka’s full-sleeve, high-neck top featuring black abstract threadwork struggled to find the perfect fit. It looked like it wore Anushka, and not the other way around. Perhaps, a quick trip to the tailor would have done wonders?
