From minimal baroque to head to toe ornate attires, divas such as Sonakshi Sinha, Karisma Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, and Anoushka Sharma have been recently spotted making a baroque statement. Designers say baroque is perfect when you want to stand out in a party.

“A major hit globally, the trend is all about indulgence and grandeur. It make a strong fashion statement,” says designer Kapil Arora.
You too can work the look if you keep it non-costumey. Since it is a over-the-top look, choosing a baroque outfit can be a tad tricky. “Let one element be the highlight of your dress,” says designer Nida Mahmood. A no-accessories and minimal makeup teams up best with baroque.

What is baroque
Baroque fashion is inspired by the Roman and Italian art movement of the 16th and 17th century. A revolt against minimalism, it is marked by dramatic, over-the-top outfits spruced up with gilded laces, embellishments, filagree, embroidery, and appliques.
