The second edition of Delhi Couture Week, which is all about extravagant fashion, glamour, luxury and of course Bollywood, is finally here. A four day affair, scheduled from July 22-25, will see leading designers of India showcasing their exclusive haute couture work.

Mr. Sunil Sethi, President of Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) said, "It gives me immense pleasure to announce the second edition of the Delhi Couture Week. After the roaring success of the past edition, we at FDCI are glad to present a bigger, better and the most unique couture event of India. Couture has always been immensely popular in the Indian market, which is why a robust platform like this is significant in capturing the synergies that cater to creativity."

Couture Week, which was earlier scheduled for 20-23 July was postponed to a later date because last year's sponsor, Pearl backed out. Now, Synergy1 is sponsoring the show.

Star stuck event

Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit will walk the ramp on Day 1 for Varun Bahl's opening show.

Sonakshi Sinha is the show stopper for Shantanu-Nikhil.

Ashima-Leena have roped in Sharmila Tagore.

Manav Gangwani has a list of celebs walking for him- Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Soha Ali Khan, Raveena Tandon, Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan.

Manish Malhotra is keeping mum about his show stopper this year.

Interesting themes

While Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra's collection will take you back to royal Elizabethan era, Manav Gangwani will project contemporary multi-dimensional women. Kamasutra, which has inspired many art forms, is the theme for Suneet Verma's couture this year. Other designers haven't yet disclosed their themes.

Indian models dominate
Indian models will be seen in full swing giving tough competition to their international counterparts. Unlike other fashion weeks, this one will see desi domination on the runway.
