When designer Rohit Mittal used an imprint of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on a jacket, he did not anticipate what a style statement he was making. Part of his collection, My Wife’s Imagination, that was showcased at the WIFW on Wednesday, the jacket now has offers pouring in. “A lot of buyers wanted to place orders for it, but I’ve refused. There is an emotional attachment, one can’t sell the PM. I used his picture because he is an icon,” said Mittal.

However, fashionistas in Delhi are hoping the designer will change his mind. Shefali Singh, a guest at the show, says, “I’d love to wear this. It is such a sassy style statement.” Another guest, Chandni Patel, says, “It’s a sure attention-grabber."
