Indeed, this summer, designers, both international and back home, seem to have discovered a newfound love for stylish jackets made of comfortable summery fabrics. Recently seen sporting summer jackets with short dresses were actors Malaika Arora Khan, Bipasha Basu and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Talking about the trend, designer Sanchita Ajjampur says, “Cropped and boxy summer jackets, short-sleeved jackets, zipped jackets and lace jackets are in vouge this year. Pair them with summer dresses, girly rompers, shorts and sheer tops or basic blue denims.”

Agrees Jaypreet Kaur Sawhney of Trendy Divva. “Jackets made of nets, linen, muslin and cotton are popular choices this season. For a party look, pair a peplum-styled jacket and a lace top with a slim-fit jeans,” she says. For a casual look, try jacket in neon colour.
