"Jumpsuits are popular during the monsoon, because they’re easy to wear and comfortable," says designer Nishka Lulla. Ask her why brown seems to be the new hot favourite and she responds, "People are tired of the bright colours they wear during spring/summer, and brown is a more practical colour to don during the rains. Also, darker colours tend to camouflage your body’s problem areas."

Fashion blogger Manou of Wearabout says, "What looks best is a solid hue worn with a different coloured belt to break the look up. Printed jumpsuits are risky, and can look just as bad as wearing a floral shirt and pair of pants together. Also, the fewer accessories you wear, the better. A clean, minimalist look is a safe bet."

Nishka focuses on silhouettes, saying, "If you’re thigh-heavy, then wear a wide-leg variant. If you’re taller and top-heavy, you can opt for a more straight leg version to balance out the silhouette".
