Six weeks before filing for divorce from Tom Cruise on June 29th, Katie Holmes posed for Elle magazine and she did it with élan. Clad in a white unbuttoned top, the hot siren gives a sneak peek of her assets in a black sheer lingerie.



Katie Holmes is looking young and the fringes are totally working in her favour. She has the look of a confident, independent woman who lives on her own terms.



The interview to the magazine gives an insight of her state of mind. Talking about being in her 30s, Katie told Elle: "I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier. I think in my 20s, it's like you're trying too hard to figure everything out."

Meanwhile, Katie was seen stepping out on July 2 without her ring, looking visibly happy. Holmes had the look of a woman free from the burden of her unhappy marriage.



On July 4, the 33-year-old was seen enjoying the American Independence day with daughter Suri. "I'm alright," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying, as she pushed a shopping cart carrying the couple's adorable daughter. "Thank you," she said graciously.



Katie Holmes is seeking sole legal custody of Suri in her divorce filing.
