India’s most revered and celebrated designer, Rohit Bal, is known for his majestic sets and splendid creation. With every show, he raises his bar and fashion connoisseurs expect to see something out-of-the-box everytime. “It’s flattering that people admire my shows so much,” the designer humbly gushes.

Talking about his upcoming collection, the designer says, “It is going to be a surprise. Every collection of mine is close to my heart. When I do a show, I put in all my efforts and ability in making it a success and perhaps that’s why people always look forward to see a Rohit Bal show because they know that there would be something larger than life.”

Sharing his views on the relevance of Indian couture internationally, Bal says, “Indian fashion still has a long way to go to make its presence felt in the International market.”

Getting more candid, he shared that Indian designers never follows trends and he finds it really awkward when fashion journalists ask him about the upcoming trends for the season. “ Trends are created by designers and they are not supposed to follow them (trend).”
