Style and strong sartorial statements set the theme for the Critics Choice Awards 2015, recently held in Los Angeles. While flaunting toned pins in thigh-high slits seemed to be the popular trend, several celebrities were also spotted giving the usual red carpet ensemble of black gowns and tuxedos a well-deserved miss.

From rockstar Miyavi's cropped and sans tie take on the tuxedo to actor Jennifer Aniston's sexy getup in a red pantsuit. herefs a quick dekko at the looks that stood out at the event.

White wonder: Straying from the usual black dress and voluminous hair - actor Rosamund Pike (left) and Marion Cotillard (right) showed up in sleek hairdos and white outfits.

Androgynous accents: Acing the menswear-forwomen trend, actors Jennifer Aniston (left) and Andrea Riseborough (right) showed up in vibrant pantsuit outfits. While Aniston glammed up with a plunging neckline, Riseborough opted for a romantic sideswept hairdo and red lips.

Misters on point: A ctors-singers Miyavi and Jared Leto went quirky with their formal wear. Causing serious mane-envy, Leto styled his locks into a man-bun to go with his statement jacket. In a signature rocker move, Miyavi went all-black and flaunted his impressive ink.

Metallic muse: Opting for outfits in dull metallic shades, actors Angelina Jolie (left) and Amy Adams (right) brought in a touch of futuristic glam to the event. We loved the minimal accessorising and simple hairstyles that set off their looks.

A chic cut: Actors Michelle Monaghan (left) and Leslie Mann (below) went the cutout route with a chic twist. While Monaghan opted for a sexy lacy black number with thigh-high slits, Mann worked a sequinned, structured ensemble.
