The Capital has always been known for its love for fashion. And taking on this tradition, Stylefile — the lifestyle exhibition that has been popular in Mumbai and Kolkata for about a decade now— is holding its first show in Delhi.

Started by entrepreneurs Preeti Goenka and Sumedha Saraogi, the Stylefile fashion show and exhibition essentially focuses on serious fashion — both as a creative pursuit and as well as a business initiative. Harnessing exceptional designs, one of the most important aspects of the show has been exchange of information on emerging trends.

The 11th edition of Stylefile will be held on the August 29 and 30 at The Library Lounge in Aman. This year’s show will present a celebration of luxurious styles, featuring creations by designer Anamika Khanna, precious jewels by Raj Mahtani and art by Nilesh Kumavat.

Khanna and Mahtani have done a number of shows with them earlier, and are extremely excited about the show coming to the fashion Capital. “It is going to be very interesting,” says Mahtani, adding, “I am showing two collections this time.

One is a cocktail evening wear which has a lot of dull gold and traditional motifs. The other collection is about redefining bridal jewellery. I have moved away from old traditions and have introduced tribal and Mughal influences in it.”

Khanna on the other hand has a one-off collection planned for the show. “Since Stylefile is so special I have created a special collection which has personality driven clothes,” says Khanna, adding, “It includes traditional Banarasi saris, contemporary saris and modern international range.”
