Promise: Protects from moderate rain, repels everyday stains
Pros: The idea of wearing a ‘water repellent’ denim seemed amusing at first. But believe it or not, the denims actually live up to the promise. Upon wearing the pair on a rainy day, I was surprised that they didn’t absorb the water as denims usually do. To double-check the claim that they ‘repel’ water, I even sprayed them with a shower jet at home. The sight of the droplets actually rebounding from the surface of the fabric was incredible to say the least. And when you try to pour water on the fabric, it just dances on the surface. However, the jeans are not ‘water-proof.’
Cons: Priced at Rs 2,995, the denims may seem pricey. It also won’t protect you in a heavy shower, as the brand warns in advance.
