Cop’s partner was a recluse, claim her neighbours

It was the couple who used to pay all her bills; Sharma seldom got face-to-face with her neighbours.

Local sources said Sharma had been living in Ardee City for nearly a decade. Another source said he had seen a man in his forties visiting the flat twice, who was addressed as ‘sahab’ by the young domestic helps. Sharma, a private detective by profession, hardly stepped out even to buy her groceries.

A local kirana shop owner told HT, “She mostly placed orders over the phone. She never used to get grocery...only 20-litre water jars and some tid-bits.”A source said in April some unidentified man called the local cable operator to disconnnect the cable link to her flat. No reason was given. Sharma had recently been sent to Tihar Jail for 21 days in a forgery case.
