With newer research and increase in marital age around the globe, parenthood age has increased in the last few decades.

The age of parenthood is determined by individual preferences. Medical science believes that both the partners need to be below the age of 30, as far as the first child is concerned, in order to reduce the chances of pregnancy-related complications. The recommended age for parenthood changes from time to time. With newer research and increase in marital age around the globe, parenthood age has increased in the last few decades.

Late marital age may also be responsible.However, indefinite wait is a risk. Even the chances of artificial reproduction gradually diminish with increasing age. It’s better to start planning a child in the mid to the late 20s. Societal factors also play a part in our culture. Reports say that younger parents are physically more capable of bearing the child, though these facts are hotly debated.
