Routine physiotherapy has not been found to be very effective for mild to moderate low back pain.
According to a study published in this week's British Medical journal, physiotherapists in the British National Health Service, have found that the routine physiotherapy for mild back-ache seems to be no more effective than one session of assessment and advice from a physiotherapist.
The physiotherapist studied 286 back-pain patients with low back pain and after assessing the perceived benefit of treatment, concluded that there was no evidence of a long term effect of routine physiotherapy.
