Riyaaz Amlani's ideal weekend? Partying in baby's nursery

The restaurateur tells us all about what he likes and doesn't.

We got talking to Riyaaz Amlani, restaurateur and owner of Impresario Foods, on a range of things. The 39-year-old says he can cook a five course meal but boil water only if he has the recipe for it.

Where do you party?
In my baby’s nursery.

Tea or coffee?
Tea first thing in the morning, and coffee throughout the day.

Some complicated Iced Frappe person or straight-up espresso person?
Straight-up espresso. Coffee was never meant to be had cold.

Cosmopolitan or whisky on the rocks?
It would be whisky with two drops of water.

Street food that makes your day.
Kebabs.

A movie/book that you’ve been meaning to catch up on.
The Sun that Rose from the Earth by Shamsur Rahman is on my list.

What one thing can make your weekend?
That would be to not have any commitments.

A TV show you could watch reruns of all Sunday.
The Sopranos.
