Amy Adams joins David O. Russell's new movie

Amy Adams will be the leading actor in American director David O. Russell's latest movie, The Hollywood Reporter indicates. Recently seen on the big screen in On the Road, Adams will join Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner in the cast of a crime drama inspired by a true story, temporarily named American Bullshit.

Amy Adams will be the leading actor in American director David O. Russell's latest movie, The Hollywood Reporter indicates.

Recently seen on the big screen in On the Road, Adams will join Bradley Cooper and Jeremy Renner in the cast of a crime drama inspired by a true story, temporarily named American Bullshit.

The thriller, set in the 1970s, will depict the FBI's decision to associate with a swindling crime lord to fight corruption in the political circles of Atlantic City.

Amy Adams will play the wife of Bradley Cooper's character, Mel Weinberg. The actor will also star in David O. Russell's next movie, The Silver Linings Playbook. Jeremy Renner will play the ambitious FBI agent in charge of the operations.

Production will start in February 2013.
