Director Martin Scorsese will now produce a biopic about US film critic Roger Ebert, who is considered to be America’s most popular movie reviewer due to his turn as co-host of US TV show Ebert & Roeper.

Director Martin Scorsese will now produce a biopic about US film critic Roger Ebert, who is considered to be America’s most popular movie reviewer due to his turn as co-host of US TV show Ebert & Roeper.
The 70-year-old, who has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2002, limiting his ability to eat, drink, or speak, and last year he released his life story, Life Itself: A Memoir, detailing everything from his battle with alcohol to friendship with the stars.
Now, he will be seen in a film adaptation of his book.
