Marvel fans believe Star Lord had a cameo in Captain Marvel. Were you able to spot him?
Marvel fans have spotted what could be a sneaky Easter egg in Captain Marvel. We you able to find it?
Fans have a brand new theory about the latest MCU release, Captain Marvel. They believe that an important character from the Guardian of the Galaxy franchise made a short and subtle cameo in the film and no one was able to notice it.

In Captain Marvel, Brie Larson plays Carol Danvers, a half-human, half-Kree woman who lands on the distant planet with no memories of her past life on Earth. However, she did get flashes of her past life and saw faces of her friends, family and mentor. On such flashback showed Carol watching a shooting star with her best friend, Monica Rambeau. But what if it wasn’t a shooting star at all but a particular little boy getting whisked away into space?
A Redditor has suggested that the shooting star and the timelines of Peter Quill getting beamed into the sky by Yondu and his men in the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 match perfectly. Check out his theory:
I know this will probably get buried but I’m yet to see anyone bring up the shooting star that Carol and Monica watched! Quill was picked up in 1988. Stan the Man was auditioning for Mallrats, released in 1995. Carol missing for 6 years. Maths checks out, Carol and Monica could’ve actually been watching the first trip to space for our little Star Prince!

When asked about how close the fans came to spotting the Easter egg, Captain Marvel visual effects supervisor Chris Townsend didn’t drop an hints. Talking to Huffington Post, he said, “I’ve never heard that about Peter Quill, but I love it,” he said. “I love the fan side of what we do. I love the reactions. I love how much thought [goes into everything]. Obviously, there’s a huge amount of thought that goes into it from everyone on our end making the films, but there’s an amazing sort of reading into things, like the shooting star.”
“To be honest, this is my fifth Marvel movie,” he added. “When I went to see Infinity War, there were so many things in there, little pieces were tied up, which I thought were amazing in ways I’ve never perceived.”
We will see Captain Marvel again on April 26 when Avengers: Endgame finally releases. As for Peter Quill, while there is no confirmation if he will appear in Endgame, he will most definitely be seen in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.
