After slaying at the 2018 Met Gala (in very different ways), Bollywood stars Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone took it up a notch at an after party -- one of many -- held at the Standard Hotel in New York City.

Priyanka wore a black pant suit with golden streaks in the bottom half. She embellished her look with deep red lipstick. Deepika, meanwhile, wore a golden velvet jacket -- one she’d previously worn at a party thrown by Shah Rukh Khan. Deepika hadn’t received the unanimously positive reception that Priyanka’s look was met with during the religious themed gala, held in New York on Tuesday.

Both stars, however, are being applauded for their choices in the less theatrical after party. You can check out pictures here.

The invitation-only Met Gala is a fund-raising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and also marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition.

The 2018 exhibit shows how Catholicism has influenced fashion and designers through the decades and features more than 50 vestments and other religious items, direct from the Vatican.
