Along with Rampage, Skyscraper is the star’s second big action movie of the year. He is currently basking in the phenomenal success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, which has earned over $850 million worldwide.

The film is directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber, who previously made Central Intelligence with the star. Skyscraper blends all the elements one has come to associate with The Rock’s movies -- there is a family (and daughters) in need of protecting -- he even delivers a variation of that ‘Daddy’s gotta go to work’ line -- there are gravity-defying action set-pieces and larger-than-life villains.
Skyscraper also stars Neve Campbell, Pablo Schreiber and Chin Han. It’s set in China, so it’s target audience is decided. The film is scheduled to release on July 13.
