The villain in the next Spider-Man movie, Electro, shows his face in a new trailer. The video reveals the distinctive look taken on by Jamie Foxx for his portrayal of Electro, who develops the power to control electricity after a few scientific experiments gone wrong.

The character will be Spider-Man's main enemy in the forthcoming film, expected to arrive in theaters worldwide in Spring 2014.

Sony Pictures is expected to release more information on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on Friday, July 19 at Comic-Con, the annual gathering dedicated to comics culture, which is being held in San Diego through Sunday.

Portrayed once again by Andrew Garfield, Spider-Man will also be up against Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Norman Osborn aka the Green Goblin (Chris Cooper) in the film, directed by Marc Webb. Emma Stone, Dane DeHaan and Felicity Jones are also featured in the credits.
