The first video extract of Carrie, the new movie adaptation of Stephen King's novel, is available on Yahoo!Movies, courtesy of MGM and ScreenGems.



In less than a minute, the teaser presents a devastated city before introducing the heroine with dark telekinetic powers played by Chloë Moretz.



Young Moretz follows in the footsteps of Sissy Spacek who had the leading role in Brian De Palma's 1976 movie.



Scheduled for a mid-March release, the movie also starring Julianne Moore, Judy Greer and Gabriella Wilde was directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don't Cry).
