When Stormtroopers brought the Imperial March to Hindustan Times House
In Delhi for the promotions of the recently released Hollywood flick Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Stormtroopers visited HT House and tried convincing us to join the dark side.
The Stormtroopers might be fictional soldiers in George Lucas’s Star Wars franchise, but for a fan boy like me, they are very, very real. A figurine of them sits on my office desk, a few more adorn my bookshelf back home, so one can imagine how I would’ve felt when I got to know that Stormtroopers will be visiting HT House to promote the recently released film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Geared up in their armour and armed with blaster rifles, the Stormtroopers made our mundane Monday mornings a little better when they marched into office. Ready with our fan army, we welcomed the soldiers of the Galactic Empire, with a host of fun activities, interactions and an almost never-ending photo op (trust me, this took an eternity to get over). RJs of Fever 104 FM took turns to roast, challenge and have a fun round of questions with the Stormtroopers whilst trying their best to get the evil soldiers to laugh.

RJ Avi J even channelled his inner Punjabi and challenged the soldiers to a round of arm wrestling, which they clearly refused to be a part of (We get it. No soldier of the Empire would anyway do that without a command) . Even RJ Addy’s attempts to give them a proper Delhi welcome were turned down.

The dark side might be strong with them, but despite their best attempts, we never gave in; cause a wise Yoda once said,”Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will.”
