The BJP will organise ‘Kisan Sammelan’ in all assembly constituencies of Rajasthan in mid-September to create awareness about farmer-friendly policies of the centre and state governments among the rural community.
The party also plans conventions of its five wings dealing with the SCs, STs, OBCs, women and youths.
Talking about the farmer meets, Rajasthan BJP’s Kisan Morcha vice-president Prabhu Pandya said, “We are holding a series of meetings at district level to prepare for the convention. The dates have to be finalised as conventions of other morchas (wings) are also being held. We will ensure good participation of farmers at each convention, where our leaders will talk about the farmer-friendly steps taken by the government,” he said.

Meanwhile, chief minister Vasundhara Raje plans to hold Gaurav Sabhas in October in the assembly constituencies left out during the Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra.
An official release said that apart from Raje, national leaders of the BJP would also take part in the meets. Since the meets will take place at the divisional headquarters, no meet has been scheduled at the divisional headquarters during the yatra.
The Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra will cover 165 constituencies out of the total 200, as the remaining constituencies will not be covered mainly because these are in remote locations and the BJP is looking to wrap up the yatra by September 30.
The party also plans to hold conventions of all other morchas (wings) of the party. “Our five morchas (cells), the SC morcha, the ST morcha, OBC Morcha, Mahila Morcha, and Yuva Morcha will be involved in this exercise,” state BJP president Madanlal Saini said.
The party will also hold a convention for the beneficiaries of the government’s welfare schemes at assembly constituency level and another convention for party workers will be held at the booth level.
