The district administration aims to secure investment proposals worth 1,000 crore for Bahraich through the summit. To this end, the DM recently held meetings with local officials and businessmen and other investors. He also asked the authorities to prepare effective presentations to get proposals for projects in several sectors -- including tourism, textile, start-up, food conservation, and agriculture.

Concerned officials have also been asked to ensure that the queries and doubts of potential investors are addressed timely. “Bahraich is an aspirational district and there is a lot of growth potential -- particularly for the food processing industry -- here. With attractions like Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary and Maharaj Suhail Smarak, the district also boasts of potential in the tourism sector,” said DM Singh.

Local officials have been asked to make all possible efforts to make the event a success while businessmen and investors have been extended invitations to take an active part in the summit. On Wednesday, a meeting was held to prepare for the summit. Besides DM Singh, it was attended by CDO Kavita Meena, ADM Manoj, City Magistrate Jyoti Rai, CMO SK Singh, Udyog Vyapar Mandal President Kulbhushan Arora, and many other officials and representatives.
