Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief M. Karunanidhi’s daughter and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) Kanimozhi on Saturday informed that his father’s health condition is now better.

Addressing the media outside Chennai’s Kauvery Hospital, Kanimozhi said, “Karunanidhi’s health condition is now better and his blood pressure is also stable.”

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad also visited Karunanidhi at the hospital.

Earlier today, Karunanidhi was admitted to Kauvery Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at around 1:30 AM after a sudden drop in blood pressure.

Later, the hospital also released a statement stating that Karunanidhi’s blood pressure was stabilised and he was under observation.

Karunanidhi, who is suffering from fever due to Urinary Tract Infection, was earlier undergoing treatment at his Gopalapuram residence in Chennai.
