Soldier killed in gunbattle with militants in Kashmir, infiltration bid foiled

Sepoy Pushpendra Singh was killed in a gunbattle between soldiers and terrorists who were trying to sneak into India.

On Monday evening, Indian soldiers detected a group of infiltrators trying to cross the border into the Indian side and challenged them.

The jawan, Pushpendra Singh, lost his life in the ensuing gunfight between soldiers and the militants.

Army sources say the infiltration bid was foiled, reports news agency ANI.

The Army’s Northern Command said they salute the supreme sacrifice of sepoy Pushpendra Singh and offered deepest condolences to the family.
