According to the ministry of civil aviation, the move to extend the suspension is expected to facilitate the smooth movement of passengers.

On November 14, vehicle parking charges at all airports were suspended till the midnight of November 21.

There are 75 functional airports in India including six run under joint ventures.

The move comes after the government withdrew Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes as part of a crackdown against black money. People are facing tough time in swapping their demonetised notes for new notes due to various reasons.
