TVK releases list of candidates for Tamil Nadu polls 2026; Vijay to contest from Perambur and Trichy East constituency

The upcoming poll on April 23 will mark Vijay's debut in parliamentary politics.

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has announced the list of candidates for the upcoming assembly election. The actor-turned-politician will contest from two constituencies, Perambur and Tiruchirappalli East. The upcoming poll on April 23 will mark Vijay's debut in parliamentary politics.

Senior party leaders who have been given tickets include the general secretary, N. Anand, from T. Nagar, and the treasurer, P. Venkataramanan, from Mylapore.

Other prominent leaders of the party contesting for the elections are Aadhav Arjuna from Villivakkam, K.A. Sengottaiyan from Gopichettipalayam, Arun Raj from Tiruchengode, and former AIADMK MLA J.C.D. Prabhakar from Thousand Lights.
