Police said that the explosion was accidental and have not identified the exact spot of the incident.

“Accidental explosion in Kundroo, Anantnag. Two injured porters being treated,” Jammu and Kashmir police said in a tweet.

The police said that the information was preliminary as “more details are being collected”.

Station house officer of the area Javaid Ahmad said they were verifying the incident.

“Nothing is clear yet,” he added.

Porters mostly work with the army in the region.

The Kundroo ammunition depot of the army witnessed a huge fire that killed at least 18 labourers and destroyed a large amount of ammunition in 2007.
