If you thought politics and workout don't go hand in hand, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav may want you to think again. A video has been shared by his office that shows him pulling a jeep.

The video, which was uploaded on Twitter, came days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged Tejashwi to lose weight when both leaders met during the inauguration of the Bihar Bhavan Memorial Column in the state assembly earlier this month, according to reports.

“Wazan Kam Karo (lose weight)", Prime Minister Modi told Yadav, who is also the leader of the opposition in Bihar, according to multiple reports. In the 35-second long video, Yadav is seen pulling the jeep, which had a person seated in the driver's seat, with his bare hands. The RJD leader also pushed the vehicle back to the parking spot.

Yadav's office, which tweeted the video on Monday morning, also shared a short poem in Hindi.

Before a full-time career in politics, Tejashwi Yadav was a cricketer. Yadav had played in the Ranji Trophy as part of the Jharkhand team. He was also in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as a player for the Delhi Daredevils from 2008-12 but remained on the reserve bench.

On July 17 this year, Yadav tweeted a video of him playing cricket along with his driver, cook, sweeper, gardener and caretakers. The video symbolised the essence of gully cricket with plastic chairs being used as wickets along with a tennis ball.

Yadav, wearing gloves with a DSC bat, was on a smashing spree as he hit every ball with impact. The RJD leader could also be seen bowling.
