10 kg RDX seized by Army in Jammu & Kashmir

According to sources, Army and police, on a tip-off carried out a joint search operation in the area on Friday.

Security forces seized 10 kg RDX from Beinzla nullah near Shankhoja village, about seven kms from Bhaderwah in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to sources, Army and police, on a tip-off carried out a joint search operation in the area on Friday and recovered RDX and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) kept in a plastic container. One grenade was also recovered from the site.

A massive search operation has been launched in the area to nab the terrorists involved in storing the explosive material. The explosive was probably meant for creating disturbance on Independence Day, sources added.
