"Initially we will supply 45 MBTs by May this year and the rest by the year end," CVRDE Director S Sundaresh said in Chennai.

He said the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) would organise a three-day 'Combat Vehicles and Engineering Exhibition' here on February 28, as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of CVRDE.

The Vehicles Research and Development Establishment, Ahmednagar, R&D Establishment (Engineers), Pune, Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment, Manali and the Centre for Artificia intelligence and Robotics, Bangalore, would also participate in the exhibition and showcase their products and achievements, he said.

"This is the first time such an exhibition is being conducted in Chennai," Sundaresh said.

CVRDE also planned to sign an MoU with Anna University on "knowledge sharing", where faculty of both institutions would exchange ideas, Sundaresh said.
