At least 17 houses were gutted in a fire which broke out in Ungai village near Paddar belt of Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official soruces said.

Several cattle and other pet animals of villagers were also burn in the fire last evening, which engulfed thatched houses in the village, they said.
However, there was no report obout any loss of human life, they said, adding that fire was controlled this morning. As many as 107 people of the village were affected as 17 houses were totally damaged in the fire, they said.
Tehsildar Paddar Vinesh Mahajan along with a police team have reached the village to ascertain the cause of fire and assess the damage caused by it.
