18-year-old gang-raped by four in MP

An 18-year-old tribal girl was allegedly gang-raped by four youths in a village in Barwah, police said today.

An 18-year-old tribal girl was allegedly gang-raped by four youths in a village in Barwah, police said on Wednesday.

The incident took place on Tuesday evening at Banjhar village in the district when one of the accused, known to the victim, asked her to accompany him to meet his mother whom he claimed was a tantrik.

Later, the youth took her outside the village where she was gang-raped by him and his three other associates, Bhikangaon police station in-charge Brajesh Shrivastava said.

One of the accused was identified as Bhim Sai (25) while the identity of others was yet to be ascertained.

Police have taken Bhim Sai into custody for interrogation while search for the others accused was on.
