19 govt officials suspended in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended as many as 19 officials for remaining absent from duty in Bandipora district of north Kashmir. During an inspection by the additional deputy commissioner in 23 offices in administrative complex here on Wednesday.

Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended as many as 19 officials for remaining absent from duty in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.

During an inspection by the additional deputy commissioner in 23 offices in administrative complex here on Wednesday, 19 officials of 10 departments were found unauthorisedly absent from duty, the official spokesperson said on Thursday.

The absentees include officials from the departments of public health engineering (PHE), education, labour, medical, industries, consumer affairs, public distribution and handloom.

Necessary action under norms has been initiated against the absentees, the official added.
