Nomination papers of 19 candidates in the two Lok Sabha constituency were found valid while the documents of three aspirants were rejected during scrutiny for the Parliamentary election in Goa.

Papers of three candidates, all of whom were dummy nominees put up by the Congress and the BJP were disqualified by the returning officers of both Panaji and Marmugoa constituencies, election office sources said here today.
In Panaji, the main contest is expected to be between sitting MP and union minister Sripad Naik of the BJP and Wilfred D'Souza of the NCP, whose candidature is supported by the Congress.
In Marmugoa, it will be a straight fight between the Congress' Churchill Alemao, an ex-CM and MP and Ramakant Angle, the sitting BJP MP.
The last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 10.
