In Panaji, the main contest is expected to be between sitting MP and union minister Sripad Naik of the BJP and Wilfred D'Souza of the NCP, whose candidature is supported by the Congress.

In Marmugoa, it will be a straight fight between the Congress' Churchill Alemao, an ex-CM and MP and Ramakant Angle, the sitting BJP MP.
