2 killed, 13 injured in separate road accidents

Two persons died and thirteen others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley on Saturday.

Two persons died and thirteen others were injured in different road accidents across the Kashmir Valley on Saturday.

A motorcycle-borne man was killed on the spot in Pulwama district, when he was hit by a vehicle. The victim has been identified as Mohammad Lateef, a resident of Srinagar, said police.

A matador and a maruti car collided near Kouhru Bridge Langate, under the Handwara police station, resulting in the injuries to four persons, including the driver of the van.

"All the injured were shifted to sub-district hospital where the driver of the van succumbed to his injuries," said the police.

In another accident, a Tata Sumo hit and injured a pedestrian in Handwara district of north Kashmir. The injured was admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment and the police have registered a case in this regard.

In another incident, a van hit and injured a pedestrian under the in the Kulgam police station in south Kashmir.

In a separate road accident, a vehicle skidded off the road at Amirabad under the Tral police station in south Kashmir, injuring six army men.
