26 colleges get Rs five lakh each for building repairs

WITH A view to sprucing up the infrastructure of the colleges in state, the commissioner of higher education has released a sum of Rs 1.30 crores ? at the rate of Rs five lakhs per college for repair of buildings of 26 NAAC accredited colleges during this financial year.

WITH A view to sprucing up the infrastructure of the colleges in state, the commissioner of higher education has released a sum of Rs 1.30 crores – at the rate of Rs five lakhs per college for repair of buildings of 26 NAAC accredited colleges during this financial year.

The principals of all these government colleges have been directed to ensure that the granted funds are used by March 31, 2007.

The National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) accredited colleges that have been provided the funds include the Government PG colleges at Shivpuri, Guna, Datia, Rajgarh, Sehore, Shajapur, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Satna, Balaghar, Mandla, Betul, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Khargone, Dhar, Panna, Seoni and Jhabua.

Funds also have been provided to MJS College, Bhind, Government Maharaja College, Chhatarpur, Government and Arts and Commerce College, Indore, Government Tulsi College, Anuppur, Government KP College, Dewas, Government College, Badwani and also to regional additional director of higher education, Gwalior for the repai r work.
