30-year wait to see her son
“My eyes have dried up waiting for 30 long years to see my son. And I finally get to see his lifeless body,” wailed C. Karuna, mother of slain Maoist leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad.

“My eyes have dried up waiting for 30 long years to see my son. And I finally get to see his lifeless body,” wailed C. Karuna, mother of slain Maoist leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad.
Karuna, who is about 75 and barely able to walk because of arthritis, came
to the Government Hospital in the industrial town of Mancherial to see her son for the last time.
Azad was shot dead by the police on Friday.
